Grounded Aerial is ecstatic to offer a virtual reality play! Aerialists above you, dancers below, and a towering praying mantis surround you in a 360° immersive experience. This aerial play will include audio with music created by John Medeski and the music of Medeski Martin & Wood. Karen (Wren) Fuhrman, the founder of Grounded Aerial, has performed for Pilobolus, the Oscars, Ellen DeGeneres, Good Morning America, Conan O’Brien, David Letterman, De La Guarda, Momix, VH1, Cirque’s Cavalia and more. Grounded Aerial has toured to 90 countries and performed in iconic varying locations from the Guggenheim, cliff sides in Yosemite, to Broadway.
John Medeski is a keyboardist, improvisor and composer, best known as one third of the groundbreaking, experimental jazz trio, Medeski Martin & Wood. Formed in 1991, Medeski along with Billy Martin on drums, and Chris Wood on bass, have recorded 21 albums, racked up numerous awards and are world-renowned for their explorative improvisatory nature.
